'Filtro [Coral] / Filter [Choral]'

The 'Filters' series explores the passage of the voice through objects and organic matter, seeking to abstract it from detail to reveal its most primal, essential qualities.

In Filter [Coral] a group organizes itself into pairs to project its voice into the other's interior and vice versa. Sound is an agreement and is executed with gentleness and mutual trust; intuitively, the organ is chosen, the part where to place the voice, and where to receive it. The songs sung are those that emerge from memory; the lyrics become indecipherable due to the compression of the voice sealed against the body, generating a muffled, deep, and melodic sound. The filtered voices, the songs are never the same, and the beats are not timed; however, each time they blend easily, creating harmonies between them, floating abstracted, from memory and the body, among and above everything recognizable.
